Season 2, Episode 201: Awakening

Summer break started off at full speed of activities. Congrats to my brother, Jervis "Norman" Fernando for graduating from UC Berkeley. Now THAT is a great accomplishment and we are all so proud of you. His ceremony was DEF a CAL graduation. Professors and Alumnis spoke with their intelligent lingo while making the rest of the building want to hit the snooze button. BUT when Jay was about to get his diploma, you already know... everyone was at the edge of their seats ready to rep our love and pride for this guy. It was a bittersweet moment to see him walk across the stage. I love ya Jay!

My friends are at the essential turning point in their lives where they are realizing who they are or who they want to be. Jeff DeGuia is no exception. This last weekend, I gave my "see ya when i see ya" with a few ok, more than a few tears. He decided that he wanted to join the monastery in the Philippines. Never would I have thought that JEFF would be the one to dedicate his life to God. Not that he's a bad guy or anything, growing up as a kid... you could say he was our very own Dennis the Menace. His program will last for six years. At his goodbye party, he spoke about where he saw me in six years and that made me choke up. Six years seems so long from now. I'll miss that punk. I know he'll be all right, no doubt.

Happy 19th Birthday to my baby sister, Jemmaymba! I can't believe she got one more year to be a teenager. I remember the day I turned 19. crazyyyy. We were supposed to eat at chinatown in the am, but jemma & i were too lazy to get out of bed. Family showed up at our house of course, then we head to DU for Prophecy Nights/Jemma's birthday party. I felt super old yet again, but it's okay. I had fun with my particular friends. Thanks for coming guys :) We appreciate it. After party at my house. Snuck in a few shots in my room with the sibs. hahaha hella sick. buttttt we gotta do what we gotta do.

Anyway, just within in a few days... I was awakened. My life is flashing right before me. It's crazy how I feel like college just started yestarday or how high school was 50 million years ago. Don't get me wrong, I love where my life is right now. I really do. But of course, nostalgia can kick in during those peak moments in our lives where things need to change. Time to keep livin' it up.
