Now THIS trip was definitely considered a true vacation. Thank God!
We arrive at Vegas about 1 am. HOT HOT HOT. it was about 103 degrees at this point? death to my soul, bringing down all the luggage, etc. YUCK. anyway... our rooms smelled like cigarette smoke, so we planned on moving to another room the next day. Mission accomplished WITH connecting doors to my parents hotel room.

Monday: Ricky, Anthony & I meet up with Merc at the Venetian to go swimming in her pool. Oh btw, by this point in the day... I'm already drunk from a Fat Tuesday drink. (Order a mix of Strawberry, 190 Octane and an extra shot of Everclear and you'll be good to go) The pool was hella nice. The weather was extra hot, but luckily there was a thick ass cloud that blocked the sun so it was PERFECT. i hate getting darker from swimming.

At night we head over to my mom's high school best friend's house in Vegas. It was really nice to see my mom reunite with him. She has always told me stories about them when they were younger, so to see him in person was pretty dope. So the funny of the night, I was looking through a MJ magazine that they had which showed MJ and his extended family visiting Neverland Ranch. Talk about CLOCKED. It had to be the funniest moded face I've seen in a long time. I couldn't stop laughin. It still brings a smile to my face.

Tuesday: We get up extra early for the USA Hip Hop Championship at Loews, Lake Las Vegas. The place was extra nice. I was extra nervous for the kids to perform. I knew their potential of greatness but I knew there was still small parts in the routine that could get shaky. Anyway, I blew up 8x10 photos of their faces and made a poster for each of them. I think they turned out pretty good, haha. They found out that they placed 7th out of the of the 25 teams that performed that day. I was very proud of them. When we hit back to the strip, we grabbed another round of Fat Tuesdays. Another drunk night strollin down the strip. Haha whoops.

Wednesday: To start off the day, Ricky, Anthony & I got to chill with Linette for awhile. She brought us to Fruition. (Every time I'm in Vegas... Its a must to stop by and visit Val working) For lunch, we ate at some chicken fast food place called Cane's. They had some crazy good sauce. Cant even explain the ingredients.

After Hip Hop International Finals... We head to Denny's since the show ended damn near 2 am! We celebrated the hard work that the kids put in. Even though the whole team was disappointed, it was obvious that they were proud to even make it that far in the competition. The late night dinner started with 9 people and ended up with 20 plus around. Luckily we had the parents around... so we def weren't gonna be short on the check :) haha
Thursday: Family outing, yes indeed. First we head over to the Excalibur's buffet (not so good food) then after we take the DEATH walk all the way to Harrah's. I thought i was going to pass out again from the heat. Luckily that hasn't happened to me in a long time. Anyway, we hit up some Comedy Magic show. Ricky ordered a drink called LA Water. It should be called Death Water. It was extra strong. I ended up getting drunk by drinking some and chasing it with my Strawberry Daquiri (this blog seems to be turning to an AA blog haha)

Right after the not so funny show... We head back to the Luxor to visit the Titanic exhibition. VERY NICE. I wish I wasn't drunk walking through it cuz I could barely read the descriptions. We even got to take pictures at the replica of the staircase shown in the movie. We were too cheap to buy the pictures, so Ricky took a snap shot of the screen when the lady wasn't looking. haha

Later we head back to the Excalibur buffet to eat and then to the Stratosphere. Death to the strip traffic. It took us almost an hour to drive all the way across the strip. Got another refill of Fat Tuesdays and waited for the rest of Prophecy to ride the rides on top of the hotel. OMG. The elevator in itself was a ride. You could feel the elevator rushing up the building at 22 mph. EEP. I'm not originally scared of heights, but once we walked out of the elevator.. I couldn't help but stick close to the walls. haha We first rode the Big Shot, similar to Drop Zone at Great America. Well it shoots up rather than dropping from the top. OH, I DIED. held onto Gio's hand til we started bouncing in the sky. haha Then we rode X-Scream, the train pretty much hangs off the building. Yet again, I was freaking out. I couldn't let go of the handle bars when normally you would see me keeping my hands in the air on typical rollercoasters. The others rode uhhh I forget what it's called, but pretty much its swings that spread out in the air for you to be flying in the sky above the building. ALL IN ALL, deadly scary rides. but i LOVED IT. haha

Friday: Oh dear, I slept for days. Haha I finally got out of bed at 4 pm, took a swim and laid on the lawn chairs in the heat. IT FELT HELLA GOOD. That definitely was a peak during this week, being able to float in the water in silence. Complete Relaxation. Anyway, later that night Linette hooked up Ricky & I with a helicopter tour ride over the Las Vegas strip. It was legit. Hella pretty views of the strip & yet it lasted only about 10 minutes.

After the ride, we eat at Serendipity 3 along the strip near Caesar's Palace. Seriously, they serve a dessert that costs $1000.00. I know right? Who the hell would want to buy a thousand dollar dessert? Well apparently one of the big spenders of the night purchased one while we were eating. Serendipity opened back in April and that particular night was only the 3rd purchase. Sheesh. I hope that dessert was hella good. haha At the end of the night, I had to depart with Linette yet again (so sad, i hate it)

Saturday: We had our last family lunch meal in Vegas with my Mom's bestfriend. The food was pretty good. It was heartbreaking to see my mom cry as she said her farewells. I swear, I'll shoot David if he moves away without me. Poor Ricky & my Dad drove all the way home from Vegas. My mom said we are never doing that again. haha Plane rides from now on, YUP! :)
Well that was the week. Secret: I miss Rick already. I know, I know... Save the sap. haha Can't wait for Vegas in December! :) Time to celebrate my birthday the RIGHT way ;)
